It was blustery and rainy for my four hour shift at the harbor today. I was thankful to have a car for shelter, but needing to run the engine periodically to clear the steam off the windows didn’t do anything good for my gas mileage.
There were quite a few juncos actively feeding in the yard despite (or because of?) the stormy weather when I left for the harbor.
Waves with whitecaps were all over Crescent Bay, and also coming in through the mouth of the harbor. Seas at the buoy peaked at 24+ ft during the middle of the day.
Temperatures were in the upper 30s, but I could see a bit of ice in some of the drops when they hit the window, especially during heavier showers.
