It was hiding under some lichen and did not move noticably when disturbed. Driftwood Rim-lichen (Lecanora xylophila) covers this drift log on the beach at Totem Park. Orange Gumdrop Fungus (Guepiniopsis alpina) observed on a drift log at Totem Park, 29 February 2008. Panellus sp Panellus sp Panellus sp growing on rotting Red Alder (Alnus rubra) Panellus sp There are at least three species of seaweeds growing on the rock in this picture. Two green-leafy type, and a brown hairy/slimy type. Winter Green Seaweed (Prasiola sp) there are a handful of species in this genus, but I'm not sure how to distinguish them.
