A Wild Life

Yesterday I got up ate some breakfast got ready and left for dads place.

Once I got to dads place I went up Gavan hill to check my trail camera.

There was less snow up there then what had been up there the last time I was up there. I switched the SD card out and reset the camera and headed back home.

Once I got home I checked my SD card and then went down into my room and did some stuff down there for a little while. Then it was time for me to start making lunch.

Once I was done making lunch the other two came into the kitchen and we ate lunch.

Once lunch was done I went up and got onto the computer and did some stuff on it then I left and went to look for dads lens cap and the rail at the lake.

Once I got to where the rail as been hanging out I found dads lens cap and sat for a few minutes but did not see the rail, so I got up and headed for Marry Pacific’s to see if they had any squid jigs. I got a couple and then started working my way home. I looked at the gulls and then walked along the road. While I was walking along the road I heard a red winged blackbird but was unable to find it so I went on home.

Once I got home I did a few things then I left to do my paper route.

This morning I got ate breakfast did and few things then I left for dads place.

Once I got there I did a few things on the computer then I left to go down to the park.

On my way down to the park I stopped by crescent harbor because I saw what looked like little herring in there. I tried to get photos of them then I walked out onto a breakwater and looked around then headed for the park.

Once I got to the entrance of the park I headed into the forest and worked my to the end of the park.

Once I got to the end of the park I walked out onto the beach and looked at the gulls that were out there then I walked up towards the river, and looked at the ducks that were up there. I took some photos of the male eurasian wigeon then I headed home.

Once I got home I went into my room for a little while and did some stuff.

A short time later Rowan made lunch and once lunch was done dad and I went into the kitchen and we ate lunch. After lunch I went and got onto the computer and did some stuff for a while then I started doing this blog.

Today when I went down to the park, it was cloudy.
When I was out on the breakwater, I saw some sea gulls and ducks.
When I was by the battle site bench, I saw and heard some, chickadees, juncos and kinglets.
When I was at the battle site bench, it was low tide and I saw some sea gulls and crows out on the beach.
When I was headed to the trail by the river, the juncos kept on flying ahead of me when I scared them for a bit.
When I was by the trail by the river, I saw some ducks.
When I was on the trail by the river, I saw two eagle in a shallow part of the river near each other. One of the eagles flew off, scaring the two geese that were in the grass.
After that one eagle flew off another flew from a tree, and as I was walking by, the other eagle that was in the river flew off.
When I was on my way back home, I saw and heard a collared dove, some juncos and varied thrushes.
Why were the two eagles in the river?
Where did the two geese fly to when they got scared off?
Why did that one eagle in the tree fly off?

Yesterday I got up ate some breakfast and went back down to my room and did some stuff in it for a while. A little while later I went up and got on the computer.

A while later Rowan got home and she made lunch. Once lunch was ready we went down stairs and ate lunch. After lunch I went down into my room and did some stuff. After a while the papers got  here and I went and did my paper route.

Once I was done with my paper route I got home and started some bread dough then I went and looked around up Gavan hill.

While I was up Gavan hill  I looked around and saw some hoofed mammal tracks that were all most as big as my hand. They were not super fresh so they were not well defined. I  tried to track them for a little while but was unable to follow them very far since they were not well defined. After a little while I gave up and went up the old trail a bit further. I went off to check my trail camera. When I was almost to the camera I heard some thing walking in the snow. I looked around and saw that It was a deer. I watched it for a few minutes then it moved off and I went down and got my trail camera. After I got my trail camera I went back and found the deers tracks and followed them and caught back up with the deer. It did not appear to be in a hurry, so I just slowly followed behind it for a while. As the deer moved up a little hill it stopped and listened and looked down at the creek bottom. I could not see what I was looking at but I did hear something walking around down there though. As I watched the deer and heard the other animal moving around down in the creek bottom I saw that the deer I was watching started moving over the hill. A few second later as I started moving up the hill I heard a deer snorting. Then I heard two or three deer moving around. I hurried up the hill and followed the tracks down the other side and down into the creek bottom. As I was moving in to the creek bottom I heard a deer walking away from me. Once I down into the creek bottom I saw two or three sets of fresh deer tracks and in one spot smelled something a little musky. I follow one of the sets of deer track for a while but was never able to catch back up with it and it was getting dark so I turned around and started heading home. On my way back down the hill I found some fresh deer tracks and it looked like it might have been one of the deer that I had heard move off. As I followed the track along the trail I ran into a spot the smelled kind of musky again. I then went home and started dinner.

This morning I got up got dressed ate some breakfast then went down into my room and did some stuff then I went up Gavan hill and looked around to see what I could find. I looked for some new deer tracks but was unable to find any. After that I went back home and Rowan started making lunch shortly there after. Once lunch we ate lunch.

After lunch I went into my room and did some stuff for a little while then I went up on the computer for a little while then I went down stairs and started cleaning the kitchen. After I was done there I went back up onto the computer and started doing my blog.

Today when I went down to the park for the first time, it was sunny.
When I was on the side walk by the harbor and was nearing the breakwater, I saw and heard an eagle flying around near the end of the breakwater.
When I was at the end of the breakwater, I saw some ducks and sea gulls. I also saw an eagle eating something on one of the poles out in the water.
When I was in the park, I heard some ravens somewhere in the trees.
When I was nearing the battle site bench, I saw some swans, ducks, geese, buffleheads and mergansers out in the water.
When I was at the battle site bench, it was low tide and I saw some sea gulls out by the water.
When I was on the trail by the trail by the river, I saw some sea gulls and crows out on the beach.
When I was on the trail by the river, I saw two geese and some ducks on the other side of the river.
When I was on my way back home, I saw some chickadees in a tree in someone’s yard.
Was that one eagle I saw flying around scared off by that other eagle I saw eating something?
What was that one eagle eating?
Why were there some geese on one side of the park and two geese on the other?

I got up a little later then normal so I was unable to eat breakfast. Once I had gotten dressed I went up and got onto the computer. I did some stuff on the computer for a then I went down into my bed room and some stuff.

A while later (after she had gotten back from doing her outside time) Rowan started making lunch. Once lunch was ready dad and I went into the kitchen and we ate lunch.

After we had eaten lunch I went over to the airport to see what was over there.

On my way to the airport I stopped and looked around the channel. I had seen a lot of gulls in the channel so that was way I stopped and looked around. I did not see any birds that I did not expect to see there. After I was done there I walked over to the old airport road and I walked it to see what bird might be along there. As I walked along there I did not see any birds. After I was done there I started working my way home.

Once I got home I went up and got on the computer. I did some stuff on it then I went down into my room and did some stuff. After a while the papers got here and I went and did my paper route.

Once I got back I got on the computer and did some stuff. After A while I went down and made dinner. Once dinner was made we ate dinner.

Today when I went down to the park, it was partly sunny and there was still snow on the ground and some of it was a bit icy.
When I was on the breakwater, I saw some sea gulls and ducks.
When I was in the park, I saw four geese and some ducks and sea gulls out on the beach. The four geese were on opposite sides of the water from each other, two of them one one side and two of them on the other.
When I was at the battle site bench, it was low tide and I saw some sea gulls and people out on the beach.
When I was nearing the trail by the river, I saw some swans flying from the river through the trees, I also heard them.
When I was on the trail by the river, I saw two swans far up on the grass and I saw some ducks.
When I was on my way back home, I saw a great blue heron flying around and making noise. I saw it fly over at least two times.
Why did some of swans fly away?
Why did two of the swans stay?
Why was they great blue heron flying around?

I got up this morning ate some breakfast got dressed watched some TV and left for dads

It was rainy when I was on my way dads and it was also slick outside because of all the ice.

Once I got to dads and went up onto the computer for a little while then I went down into my room and did some stuff.

A short time later I went up Gavan hill to check a trail camera. I was raining and snowing when I left. It was a pain to walk through the half melted snow to get to my to my trail camera. I walked up there checked it saw there were some videos on it then came back here.

Once I got home I went up and got on the computer and checked the SD card. I got one video of a squirrel and a video of the tip of a deer’s ear. After that I went down into my room.

A little while later Rowan made lunch and once lunch was done we went up there and ate lunch.

After lunch I went back down into my room and did some more stuff.

A short time later I went up and got on the computer and some stuff then I went back down into my room. A short time later I went back up on the computer and did a few more things then went down and did some more stuff in my room. A short time later I went up and got on the computer and started doing this blog.

Today when I went down to the park for the second time today, it was sunny.
When I was near the breakwater, I saw some fish in the harbor.
When I was on the breakwater, I saw some ducks and sea gulls.
When I was near the park, I saw some ducks, crows and a great blue heron out on the beach.
When I was in the park, I saw a squirrel eating a pine cone. I also heard some king lets.
When I was at the battle site bench, it was windy and it was low tide. I also saw some sea gulls.
When I was on the trail by the trail by the river, it was even more windy and I didn’t see much out on the beach, only one sea gull.
When I was on the trail by the river, I saw two geese.
When I was nearing the end of the trail by the river, I saw an eagle out on the rocks in the river.
When I was at the end of the park trail, I saw a red breasted sapsucker.
Why was the eagle out on the rocks?
Why was there only one sea gull out on the beach by the river?
Why was it winder on the trail by the trail by the river than it was at the battle site bench?

This morning I got up a little earlier then normal to go look for the Virginia rail. I got up at about 6:30 this morning. I put on some extra lairs of closes on (so that I could sit and stand the cold for longer then what I could with just my normal lairs on). After that I went up and ate some breakfast then finished getting ready to go and I left for the lake.

I got to the end of the lake just before 7:00am. I walked down and I found a spot to sit and wait for the rail to show it’s self. I had a spot that I thought it might hang out in a lot because the day before when I was down there I looked around and found that there were quite a few rail tracks going in and out from under this fallen tree. I sat in a spot so that I could see the bottom of the fallen tree. I was there for maybe 10 minutes before I saw the rail jump out from under the fallen tree. I had my camera out already so I just started taking photos of it. It then ran around behind a clump of trees so I just waited to see where the rail would pop out at. A few minutes later I saw it coming around the clump of trees. I ran under some brush and sat there briefly before I ran on up the little creek that I was watching. I went up a little further to see if I could see the rail again. I sat down and waited another 10 minutes but I did not see it again so I headed home.

Once I got home I went up and got onto the computer and did some stuff  then went down into the my room and did some stuff down there. Then a short time later I went up and got a different computer and did some math. A little while later I went down and started lunch.

Once lunch was done we waited for dad to get home and once he got home we ate lunch.

Once we were done eating lunch I went down into my room and did some stuff and a while later I went up on and got the computer and did some other things for a while then I started doing my blog.

This morning I got up a little earlier then normal so I could get some of my stuff done and then go look for the rail.

After I had gotten my stuff done. I went up to the kitchen and ate some breakfast. Dad had already left by the time I had eaten breakfast, so I was unable to go look for the rail. I texted dad a little while later then sat down read the paper and did little bit of my other stuff then I paced back and forth in the house for about half an hour waiting for dad either to text me or to get home so I could find out weather or not I could go look for the rail.

Once he texted me and told me I could go I got ready and left for the lake.

Once I got to the  end of the lake I went down and looked around for the rail. I then went up and sat and wait for about and hour or so. I did not see it at all while I was there and it became time for me to go so I got up and headed home.

Once I got home I started making lunch. Once I was done dad and Rowan came into the kitchen and we ate lunch.

After we ate lunch I went down into my room and did some more of my stuff for a little while then I asked dad if I could go look for the rail again. Once he said yes I got ready and left.

When I got to where the rail was I saw that dad was still there so I went up a little further so that I was watching over a different area. A short time later I looked over at dad and saw that dad had his camera up and was looking at an area, so I started looking where he was and I saw a brief glims of it before it disappeared again. I stood up and walked slowly up the hill. I stopped and looked around and saw dad slowly walking down the other way. A short time later I saw the rail fly up into a tree then fly and land some place else. After that dad left and I stayed there for about another hour an a half, but did not ever see it again. After a little while I headed home.

Once I got home I went and did my paper route.

After I did my paper route I went and got on the computer, and did a few things then I went to the store and got some food for dinner. After I got back I started a fire then we ate dinner. Then I got on the computer and did this blog.
