Today when I went down to the park for the second time, it was cloudy and raining a little bit.
When I was out on the breakwater, I saw a few people with a kayak on the beach.
When I was nearing the entrance to the park trail, there were some people putting on the new gravel for the trail by the visitor center.
When I saw in the park, I saw a bird nest in a tree near the trail.
When I was nearing the battle site bench, I saw a robin in the bushes.
When I was at the battle site bench, I saw some ravens and Savannah sparrows out on the beach. The ravens flew away when they saw me.
When I was on the side trail near the trail by the river, I saw some ravens out on the beach and in a tree.
I also saw some ducks out in the water.
When I was on the trail by the river, I saw one merganser and two Yellowlegs on the other side of the river.
Why was the bird nest near the trail?
Why was there only one merganser?
Why are they putting new gravel on the trail?

what kind of bird was making the nest?
I’m not really sure.
