Today, dad, Connor and I went down to Silver bay and then Whale park to go look at the whales dad saw breaching when he was at the park.
It was vary windy there.
At first we went to a parking spot at Silver bay and stayed there for a little bit, then we went to the parking spot at Whale park and got out of the car and went to one of the little shelters.
We stayed in the shelter for a little bit and saw some whales out in the water and decided that we would be able to see them better from farther down near the shore.
When we were just leaving the shelter, I saw a whale breach out in the water through some branches.
Me and Conner made it to the viewing spot before dad and I looked through the binocular things that were there.
While I was looking through them, I saw some tail whales slapping their tails on the water and apparently I missed some more breaches.
Connor and dad had gone out onto the rocks, and after a bit, I did too.
Dad let me use his binoculars and eventually I saw a whale breach while I was looking through them.
After a bit, I decided to get out my camera and try to take some photos of the whales like Connor and dad were doing.
The wind made my hands cold because I had no gloves, but I got a video of a whale slapping it’s tail.
While we were watching the whales a few more breaches happened but after a bit, the whales seemed to stop breaching. So we got up, and dad looked around for a little bit.
After that, we went back up to the car and went back home.
Why were the whales breaching?
Why were the whales slapping their tails?
Why was it so windy and cold today?
