Today when I went down to the park it was sunny. When I was getting close to the harbor I saw some juncos and chickadees in some trees. When I was by sage beach, I saw a bufflehead, some goldeneyes, some chickadees, some kinglets and a squirrel on a thin tree branch eating a small pine cone. When I was in the park, I saw some ducks and a wood duck out on the beach in the water. When I was at the battle site bench, it was low tide. When I was by the trail by the river, I saw some crows and seagulls out on the beach by the water and some of the seagulls were in the water. I also saw a great blue heron out in the shallow water coming from the river. When I was on the trail by the river, I saw two female common mergansers on the other side of the river. When I was on my way back home the sun was setting, and I saw some more juncos and some more chickadees in someones yard.
Why was the squirrel sitting on that small branch?
Why was the wood duck out on the beach?
Why were there more juncos, chickadees and kinglets today?
