This morning I went down to the park. On my way down to the park I went out on to the breakwater. There were a bunch of gulls on the railing they flew off when I got by them. Once I got out to the end of the breakwater I saw a bald eagle sitting on a piling closes to me and then I also saw a bald eagle sitting on a piling a bit further out and it looked like it had a dead bird so I looked through my binoculars at the eagle with the bird and the bird was a gull. The bald eagle with the gull flew out on to one of the piling that was a bit further out. I went down by sage rock and there were no shore birds on it this time. I got to the entrance to the park and went down on to the beach. I walked the beach until I got to the first viewing area then I went back up on to the trail. I went down to the end of the park and went back out on to the beach I saw some black oystercatchers on the beach but they flew away. Once I got to the river estuary I saw some mallards and some wigeons so I looked through the wigeon to see if the eurasian wigeon was still around. I found the female eurasian wigeon which was nice to see that the eurasian wigeon was still around. Then I went home.
- Question how long will the eurasian wigeon stick around?
- Question why were there no shorebirds on sage rock?
