I put up some feeders and in October I was bird watching and I saw a red shafted flicker on a feeder it was fun to watch the flicker .

Very nice picture of the flicker. Where did you put the feeders? And what did you put in them for the birds to eat? Have you seen any jays this year?

I put the feeders in the front yard and I put the blend kind in the feeders . Yes I have seen 2 stuthers jays this year .
I saw some flickers down at the farm. They peck holes in the side of buildings. In the old house across the road, they pecked hools in the house under the roof. They made a hole so that starlings could get in. Starlings carried in lots of nest building materials and I had to shovel it out.
