On Saturday Rowan, dad, I, and some friends went out to port krestof for the morning and wile we were out there it was a lot of fun shortly after we landed on started to head around a bend to get to the beach we heard some sandhill cranes but was unable to see them. Once we got around the bend it opened up in to a big mud flat since it was low tide wile we were out there I got to see a hoe bunch of birds I had not seen yet this year like semipalmated plover, gadwall, and black bellied plover we also saw a land otter running up from a river that was there and we saw a set of sow and cub tracks that were very fresh like they had walked down there about a hour before we got there. later when we were heading up to see a water fall two deer walked out on to the beach it looked like one was a buck and one was a doe that was very exciting. They didn’t seem to care that we were there for a little wile in fact they walked tords us till they were about I would say about 30 to 50 yards away from us then they turned and trotted in to the woods. then after seeing the water fall we head home. river otter American pipit semipalmated plover black bellied plover gadwall sitka black tailed deer

So was it a river or land otter? Is there a difference?
Very nice pictures of the deer.

I do not think there is a difference between the river and land otter. Thanks.
