This morning when I was coming back from taking care of my pet lizard at mom’s apartment. I was almost to Price street when I saw a small bird fly by I decided to go look to see what it was. I’m sure glad I did because what it ended up being was a palm warbler witch is the first one for Sitka Alaska. I chased it around for a little wile then I decided to had home after getting some good photos of it. Wile I was heading home I looked at some of the photos just after I stopped chasing it, and decided it did not look like any warbler I have ever seen before, so when I got home I looked for it in the bird book and the only thing that looked like it was a palm warbler but there normal summer range is up in to Canada. I called dad to let him know when he got home I showed him some photos of the bird and we went up there shortly after getting there we found the bird dad was not even out of the car. We chased it around for about an hour or so. Losing it then finding it again then losing it again. Just after we had gotten there and found it a male in breeding plumage flew up and I got so photos of it witch was fun because I have never seen one in breeding plumage. yellow-rumped wabler palm warbler palm warbler
