Two weeks ago I went out to the air port with a friend to look and see what strange birds were out there the only rare bird that was out there was the mountain blue bird I he and I both had gotten a bunch of photos of it already so we walked down the road after talk to the wildlife bioligest there to see if he had seen the kestrel that was being seen often out he said that he had not seen it for about four day but he did say that the horned lark and the American pipet were still out there and in a few minutes we saw them both fly across the runway. A short time later though they came back over to the side of the runway that we were on so we got a few photos of them they flew back over the runway so we headed home. that week end though I came back over before frisbee to see what birds were out there I found the horned lark and the pipet. Got better photos of the horned lark. I have only seen horned larks twice up here in Sitka but the person that I went up to the air port with have seen them at lest four times.
