red cross bills at beach

Today when dad,Rowan,uncal janathon and I were at sage beach collecting  mosquito larva for a biologist down in the lower 48 states who wants to study them. A flak of red cross bill flew in and land in a tree about 25 feet from me then flew down to the rocks below and started picking throw the sea weed and eating something I think it was some small snail that I find in the sea weed. It was fun to watch and get good photos of them.cross birdcrosswing

    you find mosquito larvae in fresh water that is standing water.They look like little worms that wigal down to the bottom of what ever there in. thank.
