When we were coming back from a good fishing trip at cj strike when we poled in to are drive way are head lights hit a collared dove sitting on a flower holder thing under a big spruse tree in are front yard in Nampa Idaho. It was fun to see I have only seen one other roosting bird in my twelve year old life the only althere one I have ever seen was a western sceech owl in Sitka Alaska. It was fun to see that one also. Why the last day on earth is because the neckest morning I woke up and came out grandpa said that there were on collared dove but there was a bunch of feathers there on the growned. So we think it is an owl and not a cat because what the feathers look like if a cat got it the quil would have been bitten off but a bird of prey such as an owl for instince they pluck there food if it is a bird. When I checked the feathers all of the quil was there so that ment that a bird of prey got it and I find that interesting. And I hope you do to.

I really like the title. it’s very appropriate. sad that the bird died, but such a blessing (for you) that you were able to see it once, on it’s last night. I’m glad you took a picture & shared it with everyone. good job!
