Interesting Eagle

I saw this eagle at Totem Park today.  I do not recall seeing plumage quite like this before.  I am uncertain whether this is a fairly typical phase of transition between immature and mature plumages, or if this bird is quite different.

Mystery Shorebird

I observed this bird at Swan Lake today.  I suspect it is a Lesser Yellowlegs, but I am uncertain.  When it flew off, it did have the white patch above its tailfeathers that is characteristic of yellowlegs.
