The kids and I were able to go out to Dog Point to help with some smoked salmon. While there, Rowan found a beetle for me to photograph.

Beaver Lake Beetle
Noticed this ground beetle (Scaphinotus angusticollis) making its way across the moss at the upper end of Beaver Lake while hiking around the loop.
