Overcast, warm and windy, with rain developing this afternoon.
Today was another short day for outside time.
I didn’t notice the wind much this morning when I was inside. It may have been blowing, but either way, it had certainly picked up by early this afternoon.
I noticed sculpted looking asperitas clouds, though they had smoothed out by the time I was ready to head out a short while later.
I spent time watching at the channel. Wind gusts shook the car as I watched a fairly typical assortment of birds. I stepped out at one point to take pictures of a gull and had a difficult time holding my camera steady.
Someone was already on the peninsula at Swan Lake. It appeared a parent and child were feeding the ducks. I noticed at least two Ring-necked Ducks apparently unconcerned about the people on the peninsula. I didn’t figure they would stick around if I paid them too much attention. By this time rain had started to fall, and the light wasn’t bright to begin with. Both were added to the demotivation.
The wind was raising white caps in Crescent Bay, and even in the channel to an extent. On a brief check of Silver Bay, it was not so fierce there.
This year I’m aiming to reduce friction in my own workflow for publishing on my website(s). I’m also wanting to make things easier for people to access/discover. Both will require some up front work on my part. In particular, looking into alternative bits of software and/or services. Today I spent some time on an alternate gallery plugin which also integrates with Lightroom. I’ll at least give it a try, I think.
I also looked into podcast services. I am thinking I should get an actual podcast setup done for my radio show. It’s been available through my website, but not available through were people typically get podcasts. I don’t really expect there to be too much interest in it as a podcast, but for the few who might be it’s probably worth the effort to make it easier (and along the way, perhaps make it easier for me to keep up with getting the posted).
