Mostly cloudy. Light snow this morning. Temperatures in the lower 30s and calm winds.
Today was the second for the Made in Sitka Holiday Market.
Since I didn’t have set up to do this morning, I had more time to take look around before the market.
I didn’t see many birds near Eagle Way beach.
Swan Lake was basically frozen over, with just a little opening near the inflow. A few Mallards were there.
I heard kinglets in a spruce across the road from the peninsula. My efforts to get a documentary picture were successful, but the resulting photo was not a good one.
While at the lake, I saw the full moon through a break in the clouds.
Thinking the moon might also be visible from the bridge or channel, I drove over.
No moon, but I did take pictures of birds.
Based on what I could see from inside, the sun did shine through at times, but not for long.
I had offered someone a ride after the market, but he took much longer than me to get packed up.
Once I had packed, I went to get my car and then drove across the bridge. There were clouds, so I didn’t figure the moonrise would show.
After loading up my car, the other person still had a ways to go, so I went and got some food.
After getting the food, I came out and saw the moon showing between over the Sisters.
The clearing seemed to continue, but I opted to head home and settle in for the evening.

Today’s market went better for print sales revenue (mostly on the back of a couple large prints sold), but I didn’t sell near as many calendars.

Reviewing my print sales for the year, I’m $450 short of what I brought in last year. I sold 214 prints this year, and 236 last year. However, this year’s Rainy Day Bazaar was quite poor (easily my worst locally-focused market, and better than only 4 of the visitor-focused markets), while last year’s was tied for my second best market ever. If I exclude the Rainy Day Bazaar from each year, my print sale revenue this year was $100 ahead of last, I sold 202 prints compared to 184 last year.
