Partly cloudy and with light to moderate wind. Temperatures into the 30s.
Some clouds overnight may have kept temperatures from dropping too low. The hummingbird feeder wasn’t frozen when I stepped out this morning.
The Indian River ibuttons were well overdue for a check, so I made a quick trip to take care of them this afternoon.
There was more snow up the valley than in town (no surprise there).
I did see some fresh-ish bear tracks along the trail. I think probably from yesterday, or perhaps overnight. They weren’t large tracks, so perhaps I think it was likely a young bear.
There was still an hour until sunset when I got back to my car. The horizon looked like it might be clear, so I decided to stay out until sunset.
Winds were not very strong in town. Crescent Bay didn’t have any white caps on it. It was a different story out of Katlian, however. The area of white caps was fairly limited, though. I’m curious how the wind was funneling through the terrain.

I did walk up the bridge for sunset. A layer of clouds was right along the horizon in the end. I didn’t see a green flash.
