Mountain Snow, Lingering Coot

Continued mostly sunny and cool. Temperatures in the low 30s during the day.

I didn’t get out much today. I made a couple of brief explorations either side of recording a conversation for my radio show tomorrow.

A Ring-necked Duck was reported in the channel again today. I found out it had been seen by itself on the far side across from the ramp at UAS.

I worked a little harder to see if I could refind it. I looked from the ramp a couple different times, and also checked spots from Katlian Street. I didn’t have any luck finding the duck, but did see an American Coot. It had been reported a couple times earlier in the winter in the area by the float plane dock. I hadn’t bothered to go look for it. It was nice to see it today.
