The December 18th show featured a conversation with Barth Hamburg, who was a landscape architect with the Forest Service for decades. We spoke about a few of the many trails planned and designed in Southeast Alaska, focusing on ones around Sitka. We also spoke about some of the difficulties Southeast Alaska presents to building and maintaining trails, and how techniques have changed over the years.
