The June 19th show featured a conversation with Andrea Mott, wildlife biologist with the USGS Western Ecological Research Center. Andrea is the researcher responsible for a the geolocator collar worn by a ‘Tule’ Greater White-fronted Goose that showed up in Sitka this spring.
We spoke about the yearly and life cycles of the geese she studies, some of which pass through (or over) Sitka and Southeast Alaska each spring and fall.
