The May 8th show featured a conversation with Victoria Vosburg and Jen Cedarleaf. We spoke about the highly pathogenic avian influenza that is impacting birds throughout North America. At the time of the recording, it had not yet been reported in Alaska. However, within a couple of days the first cases were confirmed. This disease is carried by many species, but has been causing high mortality in raptors and domestic chickens.
