The day started breezy, with the forecast calling for winds increasing to advisory level by evening.
I did not spend much time outside today, but did get out to Sawmill Cove with Rowan. It was quiet out there, and we did no see much other than a cormorant.
I stopped by Eagle Way beach on our way back. Several eagles and ravens were gathered but I did not notice an obvious reason why.
Given the weather, I was curious about the conditions at Sandy Beach. We made a side trip out there before heading home. There was a little bit of surf coming in, and it was interesting to note the direction of the wind caused the chop to move across the swell even as they lifted up just before breaking.
I spent the later part of the evening (until late) working on a post of bird photographic highlights from 2020.
