The May 24th show featured a conversation with Lauren Bell, who is studying kelp forest ecology in Sitka Sound as part of her PhD research. We talked about some of what she has observed during her field work and lab experiments over the past several years, as well as her experience working with local seaweeds in support of a marine botany course she has been teaching through University of California Santa Cruz that unexpectedly became a distance delivery course this term.

If you’re interested in hearing the full conversation with minimal edits, you can find it here.
