The April 26th show featured a conversation with Richard Nelson about bird songs and calls.
Before being postponed due to covid-19, this weekend had been set to have a memorial gathering for Richard, who passed away last fall.
Richard was an early and enthusiastic supporter of the show, for which I continue to be grateful.
In honor of that, and the spring season, I decided to do an encore presentation of a conversation which originally aired as a live broadcast in 2012.
This was only my third show, and took place before I had a regular schedule.
For this show, I trimmed the introduction of the original, and then spent a few minutes talking about recent observations/happenings in the natural world around Sitka to fill out the 59 minutes the show currently runs.
Over the years I enjoyed recording several shows with Richard, who could always be counted on for his enthusiasm about the natural world. You can find them all linked in the Sitka Nature Show Archive
