I woke up this morning hearing several Varied Thrushes calling in the yard. When I took the garbage out before 7:30am, it was fairly light. Daylight seems to be coming to the morning more slowly than the afternoon.
Rain fell fairly heavy this morning. Temperatures were in the upper 30s, but dropped as the day went on. Snow started falling this afternoon, but there was little accumulation (despite what looked like a pretty decent, extended shower).
I heard there were quite a few Marbled Murrelets in Sealing Cove this afternoon. I was curious enough to go take a look, but didn’t see any in the brief time I was there (needed to get home for a work call).
