Cool dry conditions continued. Although official highs are in the lower to mid-40s, it feels colder than that, for some reason. A sunny spot with no breeze feels warmer, but there is still a winter chill in the air when it moves.
Rowan and took a more moderate pace and walked up a bit beyond the 800 ft viewpoint. Along the way I noticed some shrubs with leaves starting to push out, and herbaceous plants coming up along the first section, but I didn’t see any flowers blooming. Given the cool nights, I would have been a bit surprised if I had.
