It was kind of a busy day with class and calls, but I had time to walk over to UAS early this afternoon. After almost 3 weeks of heavy clouds, frequent rain, and some pretty strong winds on top of all of that, the sunny weather yesterday and today has been a welcome break.
Today’s pictures are from the base of O’Connell Bridge (Baranof Island side) looking at the familiar view across Crescent Bay. Recent cooler temperatures along with the rain (finally) allowed some snow to accumulate on the sub-4000 foot slopes. I think the higher peaks have seen more persistent snow, though even they don’t look like they’ve got an especially deep cover.
