I spent a little time sitting in the car working on a project out at old airport road to see what might be around. I was able to get pictures of both an American Tree Sparrow as well as a Chipping Sparrow. If they can stick around another couple of days, they’ll make it into count week. They have been reported on previous counts, but only a time or two each.
I also was able to get pictures of the rat that seems to have a hole not far back in the bushes. So far I haven’t seen it venture far from the whole (it’s interesting that I hadn’t seen a rat in many, many years, and now I’ve seen two different ones within the span of a couple of weeks).
