Rowan and I spent some time looking at birds at Swan Lake. I hoped to see the Canvasback Connor had reported yesterday. I was able to find it (mixed in with ~60 Ring-necked Ducks), but it was too far off for me to get good pictures of it. While I was doing that, Rowan spent her time taking pictures of a Lapland Longspur that was foraging in the newly seeded area of the peninsula. I got some photos of that as well as a couple of a crow with some uniquely identifying pale feathers.
Late this afternoon the clouds broke up and when I went out to enjoy the billowing clouds, I noticed a flock of geese flying south. They looked so tiny against the giant cloud formations.
