On a Lifelong Journey to Learn my Place
I went out to Starrigavan with Connor and Rowan. Where we walked from Old Sitka boat ramp area to a little way up Mosquito Cove trail (ocean side).
Marge Ward told me she saw a Golden Eagle at the park this morning, so I braved the rain to see if it was still around. I just found a young juvenile Bald Eagle. There were Pholiota mushrooms in abundance on a fallen alder where I had seen them a couple of years ago (prior to it falling).
On my way to class, I noticed some unfamiliar (non-native) species growing where the work-float drive nears the maritime heritage boat house. I was also interested to see a Least Sandpiper foraging in the puddles adjacent to the Mt. Edgecumbe ball field. My iNaturalist Observations for Today
