On our last full day in Red Bluff Bay, three of us paddled over to hike up to Deep Lake. Adam went up to near the top of the hill before heading back down to do some paddling, while Kitty and I continued to the lake. It was pretty steep, with very little to look at on the shoreline, so we then went over parallel to the Red Bluff Bay shoreline and visited ponds and wetland areas that were behind the rise we had originally hiked over. While there we found some bog club moss (Lycopodiella inundata), a species not too often found around Sitka.
