Black-bellied Plovers and Short-billed Dowitchers rest at Totem Park.
Despite being a pretty common and recognizable moss, I had not managed to photograph Buckiella undulata before and so stopped to take a picture on my way back from the park.

Herring were spawning under O’Connell bridge today and I grabbed some photos on my way over. Later this evening I was out by Pioneer Park and took some pictures of gulls gathered out there for the spawning that took place along those shores.
Kids caught 27 herring. Froze most for bait, but they wanted to eat some. Connor cleaned them by himself. Tasted okay, but lots of bones! # Powered by Twitter Tools
