This Northwestern Crow (Corvus caurinus) was gathering moss from drift logs, presumably as nesting material.
Weather: A bit breezy and overcast. Temperatures were cool, but not cold.
Birds: Crows were gathering nesting materials at the park. I saw a golden-plover, but it didn’t stick around long.
I saw a Red-tailed Hawk fly above Indian River.
Other Notes: Seems to be a good year for Goblin Gold (Schistostega pennata) sporophytes.
